DiDiMa holds online training courses in ALNUSET for secondary school teachers, educators and parents.
All course participants receive the AlNuSet license.
Two courses are currently available.
Course A is a practical and theoretical introduction to ALNUSET. It comprises two online modules held over four weeks, with four to five hours of activity per week.
Course B provides practical and theoretical introduction to ALNUSET and explores its integration in the maths curriculum. The course is divided into four online modules held over eight weeks, with about four to five hours of activity per week.
This course includes two onsite meetings, one at the beginning of the first module and another at the start of the third. The course can be tailored for different school levels.
Here are the topics covered in Course B
Lower secondary school
• Properties of numbers, numerical sets, operations
• Use of letters and formulae to generalise, variables, functions, equations for solving problems (approach to algebra)
• Exploration, conjecturing activity, proof related to the elementary property of numbers
Upper secondary school
• Algebraic expressions and polynomials
• Solutions of equations, inequations, systems of equations and inequations
• Symbolic language, propositions and their truth set, connections between connectives and quantifications
• Linear, quadratic and polynomial rational functions
Lower and upper secondary schools
A mix of the topics listed above that is specially designed to support the transition from lower to upper secondary school.
